Q: Do you provide estimates?

A: Abrahams Law Office is more than happy to provide an estimate for your real estate transaction. The estimate will include legal fees, taxes and disbursements. Where requested, we will also estimate your adjustment for property taxes. In order for your estimate to reflect your final bill as close as possible, please provide the information listed below to start your file.


Q: What information will you need to get started on my real estate purchase file?

A: Ideally, we would like the following information to get started:


  1. Your full name as per your birth certificate
  2. Whether you are married and if so, the name of your spouse
  3. Your date of birth and, if applicable, your spouse’s date of birth
  4. Your occupation and, if applicable, your spouse’s occupation
  5. All telephone numbers at which you can be contacted
  6. All email addresses at which you can be contacted
  7. The address of the property being purchased (if available)
  8. The date of closing
  9. The purchase price
  10. The deposit amount (if any)
  11. The name of the vendor(s)
  12. Real estate agent(s) involved (if any)
  13. The contact information for your mortgage broker/consultant (if any)
  14. Agreement of Purchase document
  15. The contact information for the insurance agent from whom you will be obtaining homeowner’s insurance.


If you cannot get our office all of the above information immediately, that’s fine, but please make an effort to bring it to us as soon as possible.
